Our Story

Deadwax started in 2019 as a stall of second-hand House and Techno records at a weekend market. It grew, slowly and on purpose, into a specialist shop working directly with a small group of independent labels — Concrete Vault, Subgrid, Faultline and others — to bring their pressings to collectors and DJs who still buy on wax.

We do not try to stock everything. Every record on this site was listened to, end to end, before it was listed. If it would not survive a real DJ set or a real listening session at home, it does not go in the catalogue.

That is the whole philosophy: fewer records, chosen properly, pressed well, and shipped so they arrive flat.
